MT Hickory One Egg Cake

MT. HICKORY ONE-EGG CAKE

1 egg
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup milk
Vanilla
1 1/2 cup flour

Cream, butter and sugar, add beaten egg. Mix baking pow-
der in flour. Add milk and flour alternately. Add vanilla last.

Make in small cakes for mailing to soldiers.
Bake 2 to 3 hours or until splint comes out perfectly dry.
