Ginger Snaps

GINGER SNAPS


2 cups sugar
2 cups molasses
2 cups lard or butter
3 eggs
1 tablespoon soda dissolved
hot water
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon cloves
1 tablespoon ginger
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon nutmeg
1 tablespoon vanilla
Flour enough to roll



It is well to mix the night before. Set away in a cool
place and roll out the next morning and bake slowly.
