War Pudding

WAR PUDDING

Take 5 or 6. stale muffins, cornmeal, rye or graham, cover
with milk and when soft beat well and add:

1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon molasses
1 or 2 eggs
little nutmeg
1 level teaspoon soda
1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup raisins or currants

Pour into a well greased dish or custard cups and steam
for 1 1/2 hours without liting the cover. Serve in same dish.
