Boston Brown Bread 2

BOSTON BROWN BREAD

1 cup cornmeal
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup rye
1 heaping teaspoon soda
1 cup white flour
1 pint sour milk
1/2 cup molasses

Mix thoroughly the first five ingredients. Beat soda into
the milk and add to mixture, making a thin batter as for cake,
adding more milk if necessary. Steam for 4 hours.
