Ross Lunch Cake

ROSS LUNCH CAKE— WAR CAKE

Boil together for about 4 or 5 minutes:
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup lard
1 cup currants
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup water
1 teaspoon cloves
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon nutmeg

Let this cool.

Mix — 1 cup chopped English walnut meats into 2 cups
flour; 2 teaspoons baking powder and 1 level teaspoon bak-
ing soda. Mix all together and bake in a moderate oven.
